Our Lobster Graders offer the best value on the market. Available with a traditional conveyor sorter or with our unique inclined bed sorter, they both use our innovative weighing system which allows for accurate weighment of each lobster even if the lobster moves while on the scale platform.
They are simple to operate, highly accurate, and provides easy data setup, storage and retrieval. Constructed from high-quality components, our Lobster Graders provide a very high level of reliability and require exceptionally low maintenance.
Within a fraction of a second after the operator has placed the product on the scale platform, the high-speed processor reads the weight of the lobster, even a live and moving one. Immediately, a rotary arm is activated to gently slides the product off the platform and onto the inclined grading bed or conveyor belt.
At the appropriate time, the grading deflectors are automatically oriented to guide the product to one of the six box positions at the bottom of the slope or alongside the conveyor.
The cycle is repeated as quickly as the operator can place product on the scale.
For live lobster, we supply a tank (as illustrated) specially designed to hold standard crates submerged in circulating sea water. This approach, unique to the Tech Marine Graders, eliminates the need for further handling, prevents damage to the product, and minimizes stress by returning the live lobster to cold water as quickly as possible.
